Orana Electrical completed the replacement of severely corroded conduits in a Cooling Water Tower (CWT) area, where previously installed steel conduits had deteriorated due to the highly corrosive environment.
The original installation, utilising standard steel conduit, was not suited to the constant exposure to moisture and chemical conditions, resulting in significant rusting and compromised cable protection. This posed both reliability and safety risks to the associated electrical systems.
The project involved the removal of all affected conduits and installation of new stainless steel (SS) conduits, specifically selected for their superior corrosion resistance and durability in harsh environments. Careful planning and execution ensured minimal disruption to operations while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.
This upgrade has restored the integrity of the electrical infrastructure, providing long-term protection for cabling systems and significantly improving reliability in a challenging operating environment.
