Waites and Permalube Gateway installations

Orana Electrical delivered the installation and commissioning of Waites and Perma Lube gateway systems following the failure of a critical piece of equipment that resulted in unplanned plant downtime. This event highlighted the need for improved asset visibility and a more proactive maintenance approach.

In response, the project focused on implementing a smart monitoring and automated lubrication solution to reduce the risk of future failures. The installed gateway infrastructure enables real-time data collection from connected devices, providing continuous insight into equipment condition and lubrication performance.

Scope of works included installation of gateway hardware, power and communications cabling, system configuration, and full commissioning to ensure seamless integration with existing plant systems. The solution allows maintenance teams to remotely monitor asset health, optimise lubrication cycles, and respond early to potential issues before they escalate.

This upgrade represents a shift from reactive to proactive maintenance, improving reliability, reducing downtime, and safeguarding critical plant equipment moving forward.
